Debbie the downer is down the drain!!!!!
I was laying in my bed this morning, deciding if I wanted to go to the playgroup at the park. I thought about the post that I had written the night before. I really need to stop writing so late at night. I tend to be a little dramatic. My knee still hurt, but it would hurt at home too. I knew that going to the park would give me a chance to visit with my friends and give Jackson the time outside he needed. It was a lot of fun. I took some great pictures of Jackson and his friends. I also posted some pictures of our pumpkin carving. Way to go "Tito the Builder." GO MCCAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just when I thought things were looking up!
Oh that sounds way too depressing. It isn't really that bad. I had a GREAT weekend with four of my friends from my church. We went to a Time out for Women in San Antonio. For those of you who are not familiar with it, it is a day filled with messages of inspiration from church authors and music artists. We laughed and cried, while our spirits were lifted.
I was going to try to capture that time and write a beautiful post as a tribute to it. My friend Kim beat me to the punch. Please check out her blog and read it http://fooskebabs.blogspot.com . I was pretty proud of my pictures, too bad the ones from the stage didn't turn out better. I was coming off a pretty spiritual high starting the week. The only thing that was bringing me down was the pain and tightness that I have had in the back of my knee. In the past it has only hurt when I work out excessively, and then it goes away in a couple of days. I am a little confused because I haven't worked out in months and it has lasted for over two weeks. I finally went to the doctor today. He said that I might have another Baker cyst or scar tissue that is inflamed. Either thing was not what I wanted to hear. This brings back AWFUL memories. I had Baker cyst in that same spot over 4 years ago. It appeared after I had a bad sprain in my hamstring. I lived with it for a year until I finally convinced the surgeon that I couldn't work out with it in me. The thing that makes it a bad memory, is that the exact hour that I went in for my surgery my mom passed away from her long battle with ALS. Yeah, like I said BAD memory. So the doctor said we needed to get a MRI and we will go from there. I don't know what Tricare is going to think. I'm not sure many people have had more then two MRI's a year for different ailments. I figured it would take forever to get in, but they called me today and asked if Saturday would work. The doctor said not to let 4 days go by without hearing from them. Hopefully I know more next week. On a lighter note the kids are doing great. Jackson said something like Momma today, but he wasn't directing it toward me. He really likes to drag and push things. Especially strollers. I got the cutest video of him holding my curling iron and dragging the cord as he walked backwards. He likes to hit though. I don't know what to to about that one. He did really good at my friend Laura's house on Tuesday. I feel much better about leaving him with her. It is also a great play date for her 20 month old. When we were at Dylan's swimming lessons(oh yeah! I almost forgot, Dylan is at a level 2 now. He can swim by himself) I took Jackson on the scale and he weighed 21.3. Wahoo! he's over 20, out of the 5%. Jason has his last flight tomorrow to make him mission ready. I pray that it goes well for him. He really needs this. Hopefully I can put the pain behind me (behind; bad choice of words) and enjoy Halloween. I will try to post the pictures of us carving pumpkins, well us meaning me. Dylan didn't want to touch the gooey insides and I wouldn't let him near the knife. Jason said he had to do them all last year so he just took the pictures. It was still fun. Dylan wanted to go as Bumblebee the Transformer so I thought it would be cute to have Jax as a little bumble bee. For the Trunk or treat at the squadron I went as the bee keeper. I used my old beach hat and borrowed netting from my friend and neighbor Jen. She tore it off an old Halloween skirt. Everyone loved it. I really hope to have some better news next time I post, even if it is just the joys of trick or treating. Take care. If I don't get back sooner. Please vote for McCain. Can we give over our country to someone we know nothing about?

Out with the bad *JU JU* Bring me the good suff!!
It all started about 2 pm on Thursday. Jason and I were just about to step into our favorite restaurant (Pei Wei) when my sister called and said that my BIL had to take an emergency trip to Tennessee that night. Since he was supposed to coach my nieces soccer game, that put my sister in charge. If I could go back in time, it would be to this moment. Being 3:30 I would have loaded up both the kids in the car and started heading down to the game. We would have been able to to make it to the tailgate party that started at 5, met Ty Detmer and some of the BYU cheerleaders, plus gotten our pre paid $12 HOT meal. Yes, we would have had Jackson with us, but it might have livened the dead beats that were sitting around us. He would have also given us an excuse to leave the slaughter earlier. Instead we waited around till 4:45 when my nephew said he would love to do it. I really should have looked at the info better too. I thought it said the tailgate party started at 6pm. Yeah, it was only 30 miles away, but we were going to be traveling into down town Ft. Worth. Not an easy thing to do at 5pm. My friends who were already there, kept calling to keep us informed. Luckily they were serving food until 6:30. We finally pulled up at 6:35. We walked by the tailgate location on our way to the stadium. They had buns, meat, and mustard. We were just grateful for that much. Do you remember when you were in High school and there was the fun energetic students section, and then the boring "Joneses" parents section, well you can guess it. I was cheering at first, but from the dismal performance of the cougs and the stares from everyone around me. I soon lost my passion for being there. Jason wanted to get the whole experience, so we stayed well after it had ended. I had to exercise great self control to keep from hitting the drunk idiots that were screaming "BYWho", and "over rated". At least the drive back to my sisters only took 1/3 the time. We were all so exhausted, but guess who wasn't. Yup Jackson! He had been asleep since 7pm, it was 12am and he wanted to be up . I tried to get him to lay down with me, but it wasn't happening. Since we were all staying in the playroom I had to take him down to the living room and try to keep him quiet. After many attempts of getting him to take a bottle, at 4AM he finally settled down. I don't know what it is, but whenever Jason goes for a TDY I lose my mind. I can't keep anything normal. Today I had Jackson in at the CDC so I could volunteer at the Thrift store. They call me an hour half later cause they said he wouldn't stop crying. When I got there he was fine, "Yeah he just stopped crying" they said. Luckily they were slow at the store. Since I haven't been going to bed early enough, I laid down for a second(11:55) at (3:15) I woke up in a panic. I was supposed to get Dylan from the bus stop (the corner of our house) at 3. As I was calling the school, the bus driver called me and said that she wouldn't be able to drop off Dylan till 3:30-4. About 5 minutes later the principal pulls up with Dylan. I have never felt so embarrassed. He was very nice about it, he said they have protocols in place for things like this. I figured that it was only 2 more hours until the babysitter came and I should be safe until then. At 5 I heard Dylan and Jackson going into the playroom. I can usually hear them from my bathroom, it was too quiet. I opened the playroom door and Dylan was in their alone. I asked him where Jackson was and he said "I think he is outside". I freaked out and ran around the house and around our coldesac. I ran back to tell Dylan to help me and grabbed our phone I was about to call the police when I heard Jackson playing in Dylan's room. He went in there and closed the door on himself. I started balling like baby, I have never been so relieved in my life. I just barely read this post to Jason when he called me, he asked me why I was writing all that. I told him that I feel like this is very therapeutic for me. If I write all this stuff down I can be done with it and start letting the good vibes back into my life. I am sorry for anyone of you that have tortured yourself with reading this post, but I appreciate it none the less. I told Jason that I am not going to suffer from the "TDY curse" anymore. It seems to have already started. I had a really good time at our spouses social. I knew almost everyone there and was able to catch up with my friend Michelle. I came home and she had Jackson to bed, Dylan bathed and dressed, cleaned the house and emptied the dishwasher. If I rap this up, I might even be able to get to bed before 1 am. Thanks for sticking with me. I am going to post next about Jackson. He is doing the cutest things lately.

"I scored 27 goals"
Well not really, but it was at least 7. It would have probably been more, but there were three of them that kept running the ball together trying to be the one who "scored the goal". Of course they would not be paying attention and kick it just outside of the goal. I didn't hear this, but one of the parents told me that Dylan said "Anthony, hurry pass it to me". If this tells you anything about how the game was going, Dylan was about to kick a goal when HIS coach kicked the ball away from him and gave it to the other team. It was funny, but he stopped doing things like that when some of OUR parents started complaining. I really didn't see anything wrong with it. The whole point of these games is for the kids to have fun. It had to have been demoralizing for these kids to be getting stomped on. I wasn't able to get a picture of him scoring any goals. I would take a picture of him running down the field with the ball and by the time my camera was able to take another picture it would be too late. Of all the days for my video camera not to work. UGH!!! One of the dads was recording it and he said he would make me a copy.
The best part was right after he scored a goal, he would look down to Jason and me with this big grin on his face. Now he think if he eats a bowl of oatmeal and an "wheat" english muffin with sun butter on it he is going to score "so so so" many goals.
This picture shows you how they were fighting over the ball. I guess if the other team was no competition for them, they were going to have be their own. It was hilarious.

Someone is turning 32 tomorrow and it isn't me (hee hee!!)
These OTS pictures are the only ones on the laptop. Can you pick out Jason?

Only a few of you will see that heading. When Jason reads this he will make me erase his age. I shouldn't really gloat, This will be the last year that I will admit my age. From now on Heather Yardley will be forever 30. Even when she has children graduating from High school, college, going an a mission, getting married. They can proudly introduce their older sister who is 30 years old. Jason's cousin is also getting married tomorrow. So Jason's birthday will be his anniversary, and ours is my mom's birthday. Do you like how we arrange things. The wedding (that we sadly couldn't attend) has me feeling very nostalgic. In some ways I feel like ours was just yesterday, and other ways I feel like we have gone through more in 6 years of marriage that many do in a lifetime. Maybe it is cause I got messages from two of my old college friends, but I am remembering how wonderful it was when Jason and I first met. I was so nervous cause I knew that he was going to be someone special in my life. Good thing we waited a while till we got married. I couldn't imagine having an 10 year old right now. Everyone writes that they love their husband and they are the best father in the whole world blah blah... I can say all that, but I can also say that Jason and I grow stronger in love everyday. When I stop complaining about the little things I realize how lucky I am to have a such a wonderful man by my side. Some of the things that used to bug me about Jason are what makes him more enduring to me today. I always used to tease him how he was such a perfectionist and he took so long to do anything. Now he uses that to make our home and yard a safe and beautiful place to live. It used to drive me crazy how much of a mommy's boy he was, but it is what makes him the caring and understanding man that he is today. I could go on forever, but I think it would make Jason happy if he woke up to a very clean house on his birthday. If you could all do something for me, give Jason a call tomorrow and wish him Happy Birthday. He feels like he is going to be Molly Ringwald in Sixteen candles and everyone will forget his birthday. Happy Birthday Jason we love you!!!!!! Even if you are an old man. The next day....I woke up at 6 with Jason to let him read the post. I was saying Happy Birthday to Jason when Dylan said Where are all your presents, Jason told him to go look in the mirror. Dylan ran in there trying to get a good look in the mirror. Jason explained to him that we were his present. He stood up straight and got this big smile on his face. We couldn't have done that with a 10 year old.

"I used my imagination" "Heavenly Father helped me!"

This picture was taken the day of Dylan's first game. I didn't think it was going to turn out that great. The kids were running all over the place. I couldn't get Dylan to stay still for a minute to tuck his shirt in. The photographer knew just what to do to get the kids to behave. I hope they stick with him next year. I have decided that Dylan is going to be a a genius engineer. He creates these little motorcycles, cars, and robots with his K-nex pieces. He doesn't even glance at the manuals either. Today he showed me a motorcycle that he did(I will post the picture tomorrow) I asked him how he did that, he said that he used his imagination, I asked him if his daddy helped and he said no, Heavenly Father helped me. How can you not love that!

"Enchantment under the sea"
I have been waiting for Jason's friend to send us the pictures from the dance, but I thought I would send out a brief story and the snapshot that our babysitter took. The squadron was having "homecoming" weekend, which is sort of funny considering they are deploying in two weeks. It was complete with a football game of the O's and the E's, and a dance/mixer at the Howard Johnson. Of course Jason didn't want to go, but since it happened to fall on our Anniversary he didn't have much choice. After I told him we could pick an outfit from the 50's-90's. He thought he could wear a wig and sunglasses and no one would recognize him. The wig stayed, but we couldn't find any glasses to match his "rock" style. I searched everywhere for a dress. Everything that fit me was too expensive or too immodest. I decided jut to stick with what I had and wore my Junior prom dress. I had to glam it up a bit, so I wore these big chunky earrings and black silk gloves. I also curled all my hair with a curling iron. It was a little over the top, but I had to do something to take all eyes off Jason. I couldn't believe that he let me put my big gold rope chain around his next and trusted me to put eyeliner on his "money trains". We had an absolute blast. It was the funnest time we have have had since UPT at Laughlin. Once the alcohol was circulating through everyone, the place loosened up. I didn't know many of them, but it was great to see them in their "natural" state. I didn't want to leave, but it was a new babysitter, and I wanted to her to come back again. We got back about 10:30 and she said they had been in bed since 9. I am going to call next time. I will try to get more pictures soon. Enjoy!
